RARE and UNIQUE Wooden Fireplace Mantle!George III (1730-1750) carved pine fireplace surround; the frieze carved in high relief with scrolling foliage, the tablet carved in high relief with a festoon of summer flowers; eared sides; molding are of egg and dart design.Overall condition is excellent except for a small piece of a carved fruit that has been chipped off. (Please see photo)Dimensions: 74 ¼” wide; 60” tall. The mantle width is 7” wide. The empty space between and inside the two pillars is 44 ½” wide. The pillars width is 7”.
