The catch is made from brass, as is the nicely shaped escutcheon. Both the latch and lock work well and has been renovated, cleaned and lubricated inside.  This is for doors that are hinged on the left.  Still retains the manufacturers brass disc that states "HT OWENS   BIRMINGHAM" around the edge of the disc and "REGISTERED No 890" in the middle. There is no bolt in this lock so when the key is turned to the lock position, the latch is locked into place. Measurements of Lock Casing: 5 x 4 1/2 inches (127 x 114mm). From edge of door to the centre of spindle socket 3 5/8 inches (92mm) From edge of door to the centre of the keyhole 1 7/8 inches (48mm) No Reserve. I try my best to be honest with the description.
