Description
Up for sale is a large Tiffany leaded glass window in the most unbelievable colors of reds and orange ever seen on any leaded window. I have owned this window for over twenty five years and purchased this from a dear friend who has passed away who owned it for many years. This window was featured before I purchased it in architectural digest going back about thirty years ago. This window from what I understand was removed from a large home in New Jersey. I do not know if there are any signatures that I remember and it has been in the wall of my Victorian home for many years in my entrance room staircase landing that you can view while bidding if you wish by appointment. Most of the windows glass was made by the Kokomo glass company, one of the main companies Tiffany did business with. You may search high and low but will never see such red colors used in such quantity. I know that it is sometimes hard to determine the authenticity of a Tiffany window but this is the way I bought it and purchased it as Tiffany and can only leave it to you.The window is in excellent condition throughout and has been built in such a way that you can mount this window in a ceiling without and problems should you wish to do so. As I said it has been in my home in the wall for many years but not exposed to the weather due to the fact that I had an outside bullet proof plexi glass window mounted outside so not to expose this to any bad weather. The size of this window is approximately 4 by 8 feet set in its oak frame. The only reason I am selling this window is that I might be putting my home up for sale here in Bedford New York and do not want this to be in the house when I market it unless you wish to buy the house as well. (A beautiful restored Victorian built in 1900)PLEASE NOTE: In the add it states local pick-up only, however I will ship this window at the buyers expense anyplace in the US and other countries.I would consider as part trade a nice classic car (Ford Model A or what have you) in the value range of $ 20,000.00 to $ 30,000.00.I accept all checks and credit cards including Pay-Pal.A $ 2000.00 deposit from the winning will hold the window till final payment can be made and should the window not be as described in this add your money will refunded to you no questions asked.
